Nine more months of this program and I will be done. Graduating on my birthday. I was speaking with my friend, Keil, yesterday on my front porch. He was talking about a period of everyone's life that in astrological terms is called the 'Saturn return.' From a website I found: Astrologers call the period between ages twenty-eight and thirty "Saturn Return." That's because it's the first time the planet Saturn completes its cycle through your birth chart and returns to the spot it occupied when you were born. Internationally respected astrologer Rob Hand calls Saturn Return "one of the most important times in your life. . . a time of endings and new beginnings." http://newage-directory.com/saturn.html
The website says a lot more about what it is - but I definitely feel on the edge of being born out into the world after I graduate. I suppose my internship is the first little 'push' out there. Once I graduate, Toby and I are moving to New Zealand for a year and I see that as a really important time for both of us. Toby is in his Saturn return right now. At this very moment he is writing cover letters in order to find a new job. He's found a solid direction he wants to head in - working to help businesses become more sustainable. It's a big fat deal to him to be transitioning into doing what his heart is calling him to do.
Exciting times with the Russell's here with all this change and transition happening! I leave you with a few pictures from recent times...
Our first zucchini of the year...
A recent trip with our amazing friends Maggie and Brad up to the Indian Peaks Wilderness in the Rocky Mountains
The incredibly cute and sexy kitty we call Bake (that's pronounced bah-kay)

Kelly, I'm loving your blog and your insights into therapy and speaking about Saturn Return. I'm going to look up that website.
I have to say that my most favorite part about your blog that brought me the most joy is the picture of you holding your first zuccini of the year. What a precious birthing of nature.
I just love you womyn.
Ooooh!
Our pic made your blog-I'm so honored.
We had a blast in CO!
I immediately looked at the Saturn Return webpage and thought it was insightful and comforting. Thanks for the info! Keep writing! Love, Mags
